Happy Valley baseball falls in tight decision

A three-run six inning gave the Blue Devils the mojo needed to halt a two-game skid. Unicoi County used RBIs from Will Hubbard, Dylan Putman and Jacob Lynch in the frame and solid relief work from Nathan Derry to nab a 7-5 decision over Happy Valley Tuesday night at Cannon-Gouge Park in Carter County. Hampton’s upset bid falls short

The Bulldogs had an upset on their mind on Thursday. However, the upset bid came up just short against the team many considered the favorite to win the title. Hampton came up short in the Class A quarterfinals as they fell 57-53 to Union City on Thursday in Murfreesboro.  The loss ends a stellar season for the Bulldogs with a 28-8 record.
