Lady Cyclones roll past Unaka

The Lady Cyclones jumped out early and never looked back. Elizabethton scored seven runs in the first inning to take a 10-1 victory on Unaka on Wednesday evening. EHS jumped out early as Beth Reece, Lauren Brickey and Jessica Cunningham drove in runs with hits, and Jordan Grindstaff cleared the bases with a grandslam to cap the inning. It took a comeback, but the Warriors got the job done. Behind the arm of Dustun Sams, Happy Valley came back to take a 5-4 victory over Unicoi County on Tuesday evening. Cloudland baseball falls to UH

An early deficit proved to be too much to overcome in Roan Mountain on Tuesday. Cloudland was unable to answer a hot offensive UH team as they fell 14-2 in district play. The Bucs jumped out early by taking advantage of CHS miscues to jump to a 10-0 lead in the first inning. The Bulldogs were unable to keep the offensive attack from Monday going. Hampton came up short 3-1 against South Greene on Tuesday – a day after scoring 10 runs against the Rebels. The Bulldogs moved to 3-1 on the year. Hampton saw the Rebels take an early 1-0 lead in the top of the first. The Bulldogs evened the score at 1-1 after Wyatt Lyons scored off a Nash Eryasa single.
