Cunningham pitches Elizabethton to win

Kellie Cunningham and the Lady Cyclones were too much for Johnson County to overcome. Elizabethton took a 1-0 victory over Johnson County behind a masterful performance from Cunningham in the pitching circle. The Lady Cyclones scored the game’s lone run in the home side of the first as Abbi McKinney scored on a Maci West sacrifice fly. Cherokee 12, Unaka 5 (softball) The Lady Rangers were unable to overcome a six-run fourth inning at Cherokee on Tuesday. Unaka jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the top of the third, but the Lady Chiefs scored 10 unanswered over the third, fourth and fifth innings.
