Everett named Climate Controllers Player of the Week

An incredible passing performance claimed the second Climate Controllers Player of the Week. For his performance in Elizabethton’s 49-7 win over South Greene, Carter Everett has earned the Climate Controllers Player of the Week for Week 2. Three county teams ranked inside top 10

The second installment of the AP Tennessee HS Prep Football Top 10 featured three county teams ranked with another just barely missing the cut. In Class A, Cloudland entered the poll at No. 10. The ‘Landers, who are 2-0 with wins over Gatlinburg-Pittman and North Greene, recorded 24 points in the poll – just eight point behind No. 9 Lake County. Defending state champion Dresden was ranked No. 1 with No. 2 South Pittsburg and No. 3 Huntingdon rounding out the top three. Bulldogs unable to rally against Johnson Co.

Hampton was unable to shake off a speedy Johnson County team. The Bulldogs dropped a 20-8 decision against the Longhorns on Friday night at J.C. Campbell Stadium as JC took their first win over Hampton since the 2013 season. Hampton falls to 1-1 on the season. The game was a defensive battle from the opening kickoff. Cloudland blasts North Greene

Cloudland took care of business on Friday night. The ‘Landers jumped out to a 13-0 lead in the opening two minutes and never looked back in a  59-6 non-conference victory over North Greene at Orr Field. With the win, Cloudland moves to 2-0. After the season opening thriller, the ‘Landers made sure there would be no drama against the Huskies.
