In a Region 1-A clash, Cloudland took care of business on Friday night. The ‘Landers picked up a 66-14 victory over Unaka on Stoney Creek. Cloudland moved to 2-0 in region play, while Unaka fell to 0-3 against region foes. Jordan Coffey opened the scoring for the ‘Landers as he ran in from 31 yards out. Hampton falls in road thriller

On the road, Hampton came up just short on Friday night. The Bulldogs fell 34-32 to Sullivan North after they were unable to convert a 2-point conversion with just over two minutes to play. With the loss, Hampton falls to 0-2 in Region 1-2A play and 1-5 overall. Hunter Davenport set the tone early for Hampton. Happy Valley drops heartbreaker on homecoming

Unfortunately, Homecoming 2017 didn’t go Happy Valley’s way on Friday night. The Warriors were unable to rally for a second time in a 27-19 decision to Grace Christian on Warrior Hill on Friday night. It was the first loss of the season for Happy Valley. In a battle of undefeated teams, one standout performance led the way and captured the Climate Controllers Player of the Week for Week 6. Happy Valley’s Brayden Sams led the way as the Warriors picked up a 43-0 win over Cloudland, and for his performance, he was named the Week 6 Climate Controllers Player of the Week.
