For his performance in Cloudland’s win over Happy Valley, Colby Birchfield has been named the Applebee’s of Elizabethton Player of the Week for Week 1.
Birchfield recorded 206 yards on 22 carries while scoring three touchdowns to propel Cloudland to a 46-14 victory over Happy Valley. He scored from 15-yards, 7-yards and 4-yards out in the game. In two games, Birchfield has recorded 236 yards on the ground.
Cloudland is 2-0 on the season, and currently ranked fourth in the Class A AP Poll.
Birchfield and company return to action on Friday night as they host Cosby in conference play.
