The bracket is set for the District 1-AA tournament.
The tournament will begin on Thursday – which is a day later than normal – at Sullivan South with three girls games. The boys will take to the court on Friday for three matchups. The complete schedule is below.
The Lady Cyclones received a bye and automatic region berth with the Three Rivers Championship, while Sullivan East claimed the top spot on the boys’ side.
On the girls’ side, Elizabethton will await the winner of the No. 4 Unicoi County and No. 5 Sullivan North winner in the semifinals, while No. 3 Happy Valley will take on No. 6 Sullivan South in the quarterfinals – with the winner advancing to the semifinals as well as the Region 1-AA tournament.
The boys’ side will see the No. 2 Cyclones open the tournament in the quarterfinals against No. 7 Sullivan North, while No. 6 Happy Valley will take on No. 3 Unicoi County in Friday’s quarterfinals. The winners of the two match-ups will meet in the semifinals along with clinching a Region 1-AA tournament berth.
