The postseason road has begun for the District 1-AA softball tournament.
The double-elimination tournament, which featured a play-in game on Thursday, will be held at Elizabethton High School and the bracket has been set.
On Friday, May 4, No. 5 Happy Valley will open the tournament by taking on No. 4 Sullivan South at 5 p.m. The second game of the evening will see No. 3 Sullivan East face No. 6 Johnson County, who eliminated No. 7 Sullivan Central on Thursday, at 6:30 p.m.
After a break for the weekend, the action picks back up on Monday. The losers of the HV/South and East/JC games will meet at 5 p.m., in an elimination game.
No. 1 Elizabethton will open the tournament at 6:30 p.m., as they will face the winner of the South/HV game, and No. 2 Unicoi County will take on the winner of the East/JC game at 8 pm., in the nightcap.
On Tuesday, the winners’ bracket final is set for 5:30 p.m., while their will be an elimination game at 7 p.m. Wednesday will see the losers’ bracket wrap up with two games with the winner advancing to Thursday’s Championship.
The Championship is set for 5:30 p.m., with the if necessary game set for 7:00 p.m.
