Carter County Tennessee has a rich athletic history from the Buck Van Huss teams at Hampton High School to this past year’s state champion Elizabethton Lady Cyclones women’s basketball team.
Because of that, we want to promote and highlight the people who make it happen. Who is that you may ask? Simply, the student-athletes.
The student-athletes are the ones who live, sleep and breathe their sport. From the track standout who workout every morning prior to school to the basketball player who will work on their shot late at night in the summer.
It is those kids who should get honored for their achievements, success and the passion they work with. Simply, Carter County Sports was created to do just that – give the local athletes their time.
No tension, no slight – we are going to be here to help Carter County high school athletes and the kids that participate because we care.
Our goal is to promote all sports that our high schools have in the area, as well as all the local colleges including the University of Tennessee, East Tennessee State University and other various local colleges.
Struggle trying to find a Unaka baseball schedule? Or even a Cloudland football roster? Carter County sports wants to be your go-to stop for all information for every team.
On top of it all, we want to provide this service with journalistic integrity. No favorites, no false stories or trying to stir up drama. We want to report the sports, not create them.
We want to cover EVERY sport in the county from Little League to High School Friday nights. However, that’s a lot of events to get to, and we need YOUR help to get the latest news and information out.
