Cloudland, Hampton remain in AP Poll

The Week 10 AP poll for Tennessee Prep Football saw two Carter County remains inside the Top 10 in Cloudland and Hampton.

In Class 2A, the Bulldogs will enter the playoffs as the state’s No. 6 team after receiving 75 points including one first-place vote. Trinity Christian Academy earned the top spot, while Adamsville, Marion County, Oneida and Peabody wrapped up the top five.

Hampton was seeded second in Quad 1 for the playoffs, and received a first round bye. They are joined in the poll by quadmate  Onieda who was the top seed in the quarter.

In Class A, the ‘Landers wrapped up the regular season at No. 8. Cloudland received 53 points, just one point behind No. 7 Coalfield. Union City went wire-to-wire as the top team, with Nashville Christian School, Columbia Academy, Wayne County and Greenback rounding out the top five.

Cloudland was seeded No. 2 behind Greenback, but received a first-round bye. Cloudland will host the winner of Coalfield or Midway.
