The Jr. Landers came out of the gate hot, and kept putting on steam.
Cloudland scored the game’s first 12 points to set the tone as CMS cruised to a 45-25 victory over Dayton City in the TMSAA Class A East Sectional Championships at Catlettsburg on Saturday.
Cloudland is now set to face Catons Chapel on Wednesday at 6:45.
Tristin Lacey scored four straight points to open the game, and Hayden Shell and Conner Birchfield added shots early as CMS held a 12-0 lead with a minute to play in the first quarter – and a 14-4 advantage going to the second quarter.
Cloudland used a 10-0 run in the second to extend the lead to 24-8 at the half.
From there, it was all Jr. Landers as they controlled the rest of the game.
Lacey finished with 18 points for Cloudland. Shell tallied nine points, while Hunter Blair and Hunter Shell had five points apiece.
Birchfield scored four points. Elisha Guinn and Logan Barnett had three and two points, respectively.
