With one week remaining in the regular season, the Hampton and Elizabethton football teams held still in the Tennessee AP Prep Football rankings.

The Bulldogs are ranked fourth in Class 2A after a 61-0 victory over North Greene. Hampton tallied two first-place votes to tally 110 points – just eight points behind No. 3 Adamsville and 11 points behind No. 2 Marion County. Boyd-Buchanan was No. 1 with 148 points.

Hampton, whose starters have only played in the second half in four games, clinched the Region 1-2A title last week, and wrap up the regular season on Thursday night at Cumberland Gap.

The Cyclones tallied 90 points to rank No. 5 in the poll after dispatching Chuckey-Doak on Friday night. Elizabethton, who clinched the Region 1-3A title and No. 1 seed, was ranked 17 points behind No. 4 Liberty Magnet. Alcoa, CAK and CPA were the top three in the poll.

Elizabethton closes out the regular season on Thursday night by welcoming Northview Academy to Citizens Bank Stadium.
