The final Tennessee prep poll kept the Bulldogs and Cyclones steady.
Elizabethton was ranked fifth in the Class 3A poll with 73 points. The Cyclones were seven points behind No. 4 CAK, while Alcoa, CPA and Liberty Magnet rounded out the top three.
In the first round of playoffs, Elizabethton will host Scott. The winner of that match-up will meet the winner of CAK and Johnson County in the second round.
Hampton was ranked fourth in the Class 2A poll with 90 points and two first-place votes. The Bulldogs tallied 90 points – three points behind Adamsville. Boyd Buchanan claimed the remainder of the first-place votes for the No. 1 spot, while Marion County was No. 2.
The playoffs bring Sweetwater to Hampton for the first round with the winner advancing to play the winner of Austin East and Sullivan North.
