Cyclones, Lady Cyclones roll past North

It was a pair of run away games in Elizabethton on Tuesday night.

The Lady Cyclones rolled to take a 101-17 victory over Sullivan North, while the Cyclones took a 65-35 victory over the Raiders.

In the girls’ game, Elizabethton jumped out early and never looked back. After leading 32-5 at the end of the first quarter, the Lady Cyclones held a 44-point lead at the half.

Emily Kiser tallied 21 points to lead the Lady Cyclones, while Kayla Marosites added 16 points. Ke. Marosites finished with 16 points – including her 1,500th career point. Haley Burleston and Emily Schubert had 14 and 10 points, respectively.

It was the first time that Elizabethton surpassed 100 points in program history.

In the boys’ game, Elizabethton turned an eight-point game into a big win. ‘Betsy outscored North 39-17 in the second half.

Michael Robinson finished with 24 points to lead Elizabethton. Hayden Townsend tallied 10 points in the game.
