Elizabethton celebrated Senior Night with a win on Friday night.
The Cyclones jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning and never looked back en route to an 8-0 win over the Tri-Cities Flames at Joe O’Brien Field.
In the first inning, Elizabethton got on the board as Ethan Eggleston scored off an Evan Carter sacrifice fly, Corey Russell drove in Ryan Wetzel with a triple and Russell scored off after Evan Perkins put the ball in play.
Neither team was able to plate a run until the bottom of the fourth as Nick Johnson and Wetzel scored off a Carter single to right field. The Cyclones added two runs in the bottom of the fifth as Jacob Mullins and Colten Miller touched the plate.
The final Elizabethton run came in the bottom of the sixth as Wetzel scored off a Russell sacrifice fly.
Wetzel and Perkins had three hits apiece, while Logan Estep added two hits to the EHS cause.
Johnson picked up the win on the mound as he allowed just two hits in nearly five innings of work.
