ELIZABETHTON, Tenn. (April 23, 2015) — Elizabethton’s Jamie Hinkle is staying close to home as she signed with the Milligan College women’s golf program.

Hinkle was a 2014 Tennessee A-AA State Tournament Qualifier where she finished in the top 30. Along the way, she was selected to the All-Region and All-District first team. Hinkle was the district medalist in 2012.

“We are very happy to have Jamie join us at Milligan,” Milligan Head Coach Tony Wallingford said. “It has been exciting to watch her game develop over the past three years. Not only does she have high golf potential, she has an outstanding work ethic to go with it. She is a terrific young lady and an honors student. I am confident Jamie will make a positive contribution to our golf program and look forward to having her with us.”

Hinkle will join a Buffs program that is currently ranked No. 22 nationally by Golfstat and has qualified to participate in the NAIA National Golf Championship in Savannah, Georgia, next month.

Hinkle is a Tennessee Scholar with a 3.9 grade-point average. She will begin at Milligan as an undeclared major. She is the daughter of Tim and Theresa of Elizabethton.
