Former Elizabethton Lady Cyclone and Milligan freshman Sarah Robinson continued the stellar start to her collegiate career.

The freshman recorded her second double-double in three collegiate games and tallied 19 points and 14 rebounds to power Milligan to a 86-62 victory over Warren Wilson College on Wednesday night. The win improved the Lady Buffs to 3-0 on the season.

Allison Jones and Hayley Wyrick, Milligan’s recent 1,000-point scorers, joined Robinson in double figures with 12 and 11, respectively. This was the third straight game Jones and Wyrick reached double digits in scoring.

Former Cloudland standout Courtney Wilson added six points, while another Lady Cyclone in Megan Pietrowski tallied three points.

Milligan jumped out to a 21-6 lead to open the game, and never looked back with leads of 18 and 34 in the second and third quarters.

The Lady Buffs forced the Owls into 20 turnovers and a shooting percentage of 33.8 (23-68).

The Lady Buffs play an exhibition game at NCAA Division I East Tennessee State University on Saturday. Game time is set for 2 p.m. in Brooks Gym in Johnson City.
