Former Elizabethton standout Sarah Robinson has made her impact on the court immediately for the Milligan basketball program, and this week the Appalachian Athletic Conference recognized the freshman.

Robinson was named the AAC Women’s Basketball Player of the Week as she paced Milligan to a 2-1 record on the week. The former Lady Cyclone tallied 22 points and 10 rebounds in a 73-69 loss to NAIA Division I St. Catherine’s in the Lady Buffs first loss of the season.

Robinson also recorded her sixth double-double on the season with a 19 point, 13 rebound performance against Montreat.

On the season, Robinson leads the AAC with 10.17 rebounds per game, and ranks sixth nationally in NAIA D-II with 122 total rebounds. It is Robinson’s first-ever weekly honor.

Robinson and company return to action Dec. 12 with a trip to Bluefield College.
