Hampton’s Coby Jones is the 2016 Male Athlete of the Year as picked by our panel edging a talented group of nominees.
The senior helped lead the Hampton football and basketball program to state semifinal appearances to cap off a storied career.
Jones, who has signed with the University of the Cumberlands for football, set five school records on the football field as he threw for over 2,000 passing yards and ran for over 1,000 yards.
On the basketball court, Jones was named the District 1-A Player of the Year – despite missing the first part of the season due to injury.
