Before we turn the page to the 2017-18 sports year, we want to take some time to honor some of the best from this past season. The first award was a tough decision for our panel, but one candidate stood out from the rest asHappy Valley Football Head Coach Jason Jarrett was selected as the Coach of the Year.
Jarrett led his Warriors to a conference title as well as an 11-2 mark in his second season. Happy Valley averaged 45 points per game while allowing just eight points per game.
HV lost a heartbreaker in the Class 2A Quarterfinals at Austin-East to see the season come to a close.
Be sure to check back with us as we unveil our Best of Carter County Sports awards for the 2016-17 season.
