It was a milestone day for Happy Valley’s Kalee Johnson.
The senior surpassed 1,500 points in her career as the Lady Warriors picked up a 74-53 victory over Van Buren County on Tuesday. The win gave Happy Valley third place in the Heritage Christmas Classic.
The teams played even through the first two quarters as the game was tied at 29 at the half.
After Happy Valley took a shot lead into the final period, the Lady Warriors ended the game on a 25-6 run to take the victory.
Johnson finished with 29 points and 13 rebounds, while Emily Whitaker added 12 points for Happy Valley. Kaitlin Roberts had seven points, while Charli Bare added six points.
