The Lady Cyclones jumped out early and never looked back.

Elizabethton ran out to a 25-5 lead in the first quarter and cruised to a 74-23 victory over Volunteer on Tuesday night in the Doc Maples Holiday Classic at Tennessee High.

The Lady Cyclones will play in the championship game against Sullivan East at 7 p.m. on Wednesday night.

Elizabethton continued to keep the foot to the peddle by outscoring the Lady Falcons 21-12 in the second quarter. In the second half, the Lady Cyclones outscored Volunteer 27-6 to leave no doubt .

Kayla Marosites had 18 points to lead all scorers for Elizabethton. Emily Kiser and Emily Schubert had 13 points apiece. Kelci Marosites added nine points.
