Elizabethton basketball dropped a tight pair of games on Thursday night to Cherokee.

The Cyclones fell 33-32 in a heartbreaker while the Lady Cyclones dropped a 34-30 decision.

Nico Ashley tallied 10 points for Elizabethton to lead the Cyclone charge in the boys’ game, while Adam Cornett tallied nine points. Eric Wilson tossed in five points, while freshman Parker Hughes and Will Miller had four points apiece.

For the Lady Cyclones, Camry Koroma had a team-high 10 points to lead the way. Kaylen Shell tossed in eight points, while Morgan Headrick and Torrie Roberts had five points apiece.
