Elizabethton saw their season come to a close in an unfamiliar round.
The Lady Cyclones fell 69-41 to Greeneville in the Region 1-AA quarterfinals. The loss marks the end of a four-year run at the top of the Region 1-AA for EHS.
Greeneville came out of the gate on fire.
Elizabethton was unable to rally as the Green Devils jumped out to a 21-6 first-quarter lead. The Lady Cyclones continued to battle but trailed 37-16 at the half.
Any chance of a comeback was eliminated by Greeneville in the third quarter.
Haley Burleson had 12 points to lead Elizabethton. Autumn Lyon had eight points, while Ashley Depew had seven points. Brittany Campbell finished with five points.
