After a Happy Valley rally, Elizabethton had an answer.

Lauren Brickey drove in Beth Reece to push the Lady Cyclones to a 6-5 walkoff win in extra innings on Tuesday night in Three Rivers play.

The Lady Cyclones struck early as Reece drove in two runs as EHS held a 3-0 lead after an inning of play. Kenzie Davis answered in the fourth for the Lady Warriors with a two-run shot. Elizabethton went back ahead after Reece plated two runs with a single.

The Lady Warriors, however, weren’t going to go down without a fight. Sydney Puckett drove in two runs, and Bailey Hardin added a RBI in the frame to tie the game up at 5-5 after six innings. After the seventh inning went scoreless, it set the stage for the Lady Cyclones to secure the win in the home side of the eighth.

In the pitching circle, Brickey picked up the win, while senior Kalee Johnson got the loss for Happy Valley despite allowing only five hits and recording 13 strikeouts.
