Lady ‘Landers open season with win

The Cloudland girls basketball team opened the 2017-18 style with a convincing 62-24 victory at Hancock County on Thursday night.

“It was a great all around game,” Head Coach Mike Lunsford said. “We played a great game and the kids played really hard.”
Trinity Vines led the way with 26 points. Kenzie Birchfield added 11 points to the CHS cause. Stacia Wilson had a team-high 10 rebounds.
Megan Lunsford and Jasmine Birchfield had nine and eight rebounds, respectively. Lunsford (nine rebounds, seven steals) and Birchfield (eight assists and eight steals) also led the team in assists and steals.
Saturday will be a busy day for the Lady ‘Landers as Cloudland will play three games at Sullivan East.
