The Cloudland boys’ basketball team hosted a doubleheader on Thursday night with Oak Hill Academy’s Red Team in addition to Cornerstone Academy.
The ‘Landers were unable to keep pace in the opener against Oak Hill as the Red Team jumped out with a 23-2 run in the first quarter. Cloudland fell 85-36 in the game.
Dalton Vines and Colby Birchfield tallied nine points apiece, while Preston Brinkley Mull had eight points. Benfield had six points in the game.
In the second game, it was Cloudland’s turn to set the temp in a 74-12 victory. The ‘Landers jumped out to a 35-2 lead in the first quarter over Cornerstone.
Benfield tallied 14 points, while Joe Trivette recorded 12 points.
Noah Arnett and Colby Birchfield had nine points, while Josh Blair and Mull had eight points apiece.
