The Hampton senior duo was at it on Saturday night.
Nathan Norris scored 21 points while Coby Jones had 20 points to power Hampton to a 75-46 Region 1-A Quarterfinal victory over Berean Christian.
The Bulldogs will take on Northview Academy on Tuesday at Chuckey Doak Middle School with a substate berth and a spot in the Region 1-A final on the line.
In addition to the win, Jones recorded a career milestone during the win as he scored his 1,000th career point.
Jones and Norris combined for Hampton’s 11 first quarter points as HHS held an 11-9 lead after a quarter of play. The Bulldogs turned up the pressure in the second quarter as Hampton outscored Berean 25-9 over the eight-minute stretch. Hampton held a 36-18 lead at the half.
The Bulldogs slowly extended the lead in the third quarter as Dakota Crumbly and Norris tallied six points apiece in the frame. Six Bulldogs scored in the fourth quarter to secure the win.
Jared Andrews and Crumley finished with six points, while Charlie Butler added five points. Wyatt Lyons and Jose Velasquez each scored four points.
