It was a rough day for the Cloudland softball team.
The Lady ‘Landers dropped an 8-0 decision to North Greene to wrap up District 1-A play on Tuesday.
After Cloudland retired the Lady Huskies in order to open the game, Cloudland got Kenzie Birchfield and Mattea Jennings on base but was unable to plate a run.
NG broke onto the scoreboard with three runs in the second inning and took a 4-0 lead after three innings of play.
Johanna Johnson got on base for Cloudland and got into scoring position. However, a timely hit wasn’t in the cards for CHS. The Lady Huskies added two runs in the sixth and another in the seventh to account for the final score.
