Cloudland took a trip to Newland for a border battle and came away with a lopsided victory.
The Lady ‘Landers scored early and often en route to a 27-2 victory over the Lady Vikings in three innings of play.
Cloudland scored 13 runs in the first inning – all before Avery was able to record an out. From there, it was all Cloudland as CHS kept the bats hot. Jasmine Birchfield added a grand slam in the second inning as the Lady ‘Landers left no doubt.
In the pitching circle, Kenzie Birchfield held ACHS to just one hit to pick up the win. Cloudland saw Rein Strickland record a home run to help lead the offensive attack.
