Elizabethton did what they needed to do – win.
The Cyclones held off the Blue Devils as well as an approaching storm to take a 1-o victory over Unicoi County on Tuesday in the District 1-A/AA Soccer semifinals. Elizabethton will host Thursday’s title match.
Neither team was able to capitalize on chances in the first half as the first 40 minutes went scoreless. EHS scored quickly out of the break, and then held on to take the win.
