Elizabethton’s Joel Pierce has been selected as an inductee to the TSSAA Hall of Fame.
Pierce has been a registered TSSAA official for 48 years in baseball, football, basketball and softball. He has served as the assigning officer in the area since 1967.
Pierce worked the 1991 State Baseball Tournament as well as the 1992 State Football Championships.
He joins eight other new inductees to make up the 2016 class. The nine new members will be inducted into the TSSAA Hall of Fame on April 9.
