For his efforts in Unaka’s first win of the season, Unaka’s John Boy Ramsey has been named the Climate Controllers Player of the Week for Week 9.

Ramsey and the Rangers picked up a 48-44 road victory over Hancock County.


The junior quarterback recorded went 19-of-31 for 301 yards and five passing touchdowns. Ramsey and his wide receivers averaged just under 16 yards per completion. In addition, Ramsey added a rushing touchdown.

For the season, Ramsey has thrown 16 touchdowns.

Unaka is set to travel to Hampton on Thursday night.
