It was a rough night for the Warriors and Rangers in Week 9. Happy Valley was unable to keep the winning momentum up as they fell 48-21 at Sullivan East, while Unaka saw North Greene take a 39-6 victory on the creek.

Sullivan East 48, Happy Valley 21
The Patriots bounced back from last week’s loss in style as they blasted the Warriors. After Sullivan East jumped out to a 21-0, Happy Valley senior Phillip Garland scored from seven yards out. However, Sullivan East answered another touchdown to take a 28-7 lead into the half.

The Patriots added another touchdown to open the third quarter, but Austin Hicks caught a seven yard pass from Sage Haun to trim the lead.  The Warriors pulled within two scores as Hicks scored on a three-yard touchdown.

However, the Patriots scored 13 unanswered points in the fourth to secure the win.

The Warriors had 124 rushing yards on 37 attempts, while adding 125 yards through the air.

Happy Valley will close out the regular season by hosting Sullivan North.

North Greene 39, Unaka 6
The Rangers were unable to keep pace with the Huskies as North Greene used over 300 yards of total offense to roll to the victory.

The Huskies jumped out to a 16-0 in the first half, and turned that to a 32-0 lead in the third quarter. The Rangers got on the board when Micah Hunt dived into the endzone from a yard out. However, North Greene added another touchdown to cap off the scoring.

Unaka will close out the regular season by hosting Cosby.
