Sullivan South’s Kegley inks with Milligan soccer squad

MILLIGAN COLLEGE, Tenn.  – Holley Kegley, two-time TSSAA District 1 A/AA Player of the Year, added her name to Milligan College’s women’s soccer team roster for the 2015 season.

The Kingsport, Tennessee, native played center defense for the Sullivan South Lady Rebels, helping to lead them to a 12-4-4 record for the 2014 season and earning her the Player of the Year award in both 2013 and 2014.

Along with the 2014 Player of the Year award, Kegley was named Defender of the Year, as well. During her high school career, she was named to the All-District team three years, the All-Region team two years and the All-State team her senior year.

“I’m excited to have Holley join our team,” commented Head Coach Lisa Buckley. “I’ve followed Holley’s career closely since she was a freshman in high school. She is an aggressive defender who does a great job of being physical and winning the ball. She is also an excellent student who will be a true asset to the college.”

The 2014 Lady ‘Buff soccer roster featured Elizabethton High School graduate Christine Hardin and Rachel Wilson.
