On Thursday, the TSSAA approved the realignment for football and Carter County teams learned who their new region foes would be.
In Class A, Cloudland and Unaka will be joined in Region 1-A by Concord Christian (Knoxville), Hancock County and Oakdale. Oakdale was switched with Greenback after Greenback expressed concerns about their travel budget. Oakdale volunteered to move into Region 1.
Class 2A was approved with no changes. That puts Hampton and Happy Valley with Cosby, Cumberland Gap, Gatlinburg-Pittman, North Greene, South Greene and Sullivan North in Region 1.
In Class 3A, Region 1 was approved with no changes. Elizabethton will be joined by Chuckey-Doak, Claiborne, Johnson County, Northview Academy (Sevierville), Pigeon Forge, Unicoi County and West Greene in Region 1.
