The stage is set for the Unaka football team.

Unaka has an even split of five home and five away games as they look to improve on last season’s record.


The Rangers open the 2016 schedule with a trip to Baileyton to take on North Greene on August 19.

Unaka opens the home portion of the schedule with four consecutive home games at Goddard Field. The Rangers welcome Cosby to Stoney Creek on August 26, and open Region 1-A play against Concord Christian on September 2.

Nonconference tilts with Harriman (September 9) and JI Burton (September 16) wrap up the four game home stretch.

The Rangers will make the crosstown trek to Warrior Hill on September 23 for a non conference clash. The month of September will close out as Unaka will travel to last season’s Region 1-A champion Cloudland on the 30th.

After an off week on October 7, Unaka will make the long trip to Oakdale for an important region clash on October 14. Hancock County will make the trek to Goddard Field on October 21 for the Rangers’ final Region 1-A game of the season.

The Rangers close out the regular season with a trip to Midway on October 28. TSSAA Playoffs are slated to start on November 4.
