The Unaka football season has come to an abrupt close.
The Rangers have elected to forfeit their Class A first-round playoff game at Greenback.
Unaka went 1-9 this season, and have battled low roster numbers throughout the year. UHS qualified for the playoffs with a 56-33 victory over Concord Christian. Region 1-A only has five teams.
The Rangers have been outscored 525-124 in their 10 games this season. They closed the regular season with a 71-0 loss to Midway on Friday night.
Greenback was the Region 2-A No. 1 seed.
