Unaka was unable to knock off the top seed from District 2-A as the Rangers fell 77-57 to the Eagles in the Region 1-A semifinals.

UHS, however, didn’t go down without a fight.

The Rangers got an early boost from John Boy Ramsey as he knocked down two 3-pointers. Kyle Lewis scored four points in the frame, but the Eagles held a 19-14 lead after a quarter of play. Cosby slowly extended the lead in the second quarter as the Eagle held a 38-25 advantage at the half.

Chambers tallied 27 points to lead all scorers. Lewis tallied 16 points, while Joe Searfoss had eight points in the game.

In all, Cosby hit 10 3-pointers and were led by Kurry Cody’s 26 points.
