Happy Valley was unable to keep their season going on Saturday night.
The Warriors were unable to keep pace with the District 2-AA top seed Grainger County in a 70-45 loss at Grainger.
The Warriors, however, started quick as Bryce Carter and Brayden Sams helped HV take an early lead before the Grizzlies responded to take a 14-11 lead into the second quarter.
In the second quarter, HV stayed in striking distance for most of the quarter but Grainger held a 10-point advantage in the second quarter.
The Warriors’ upset-bid was thrown off the rails in the second half as Grainger used a pair of runs to separate from Happy Valley.
Carter had 14 points to led Happy Valley. The Warriors also saw Jake Surcey and Sams tally 11 points each.
