A school-record performance helped earn the Climate Controllers Player of the Week honor.

Elizabethton’s Ryan Wetzel has been named the Climate Controllers Player of the Week for Week 10 after his performance against Sullivan South.

The senior receiver recorded a school record 16 catches for 165 yards and two touchdowns in the Cyclones’ win over Sulivan South.

It was one of two school records broken in the game as quarterback Carter Everett also eclipsed the school record for passing yards in the win.

For the season, Wetzel has 702 yards on 60 catches with an impressive 16 touchdowns.

Wetzel and company return to action on Friday with a trip to Sullivan Central.
