There will be a new face on the Cloudland sideline next season.
Cloudland’s Gary Harrison has resigned his position as head coach of the school’s basketball program. Harrison has accepted an assistant coaching position with the boys’ basketball program at Elizabethton High School.
The coach confirmed the move to Carter County Sports on Monday afternoon.
A search is expected to begin immediately for his replacement.
Harrison, a former Cloudland standout in his playing days, was at the helm of the program for seven seasons after serving as an assistant in the program for five seasons.
During his tenure, Cloudland recorded a 92-115 record – playing against one of the toughest schedules in the state.
The ‘Landers finished 15-16 this past season after advancing to the Region 1-A tournament.
