Happy Valley continued to stay hot on Friday night.

The Warriors saw Dakota Cochran scored four touchdowns to a 40-7 victory over West Greene on Warrior Hill. The win improved HV to 4-5 on the year.
Happy Valley struck quickly to set the tone.


After a bad snap, Cameron Slone recovered the ball for a touchdown 15 seconds into the game. The Michael Harrah extra point gave HV a 7-0 lead. West Greene struck as Alick Daugherty hit Chase Jennings for a 22-yard touchdown that evened things up at seven all.

Cochran and the Warriors, however, took control later in the quarter.

Cochran broke free for a 16-yard touchdown to take a 14-7 lead with just under three minutes to play, and then Cochran added a six-yard touchdown in the opening minute of the second quarter to push the Happy Valley lead to 21-7. The third Cochran touchdown – this one from a yard out – with 6:41 to play in the first half gave the Warriors a 27-7 advantage.

The Happy Valley defense rose to the occasion in the closing seconds of the first half as the Warriors stripped the Buffalo holder and Cochran returned it 78 yards to give HV a 34-7 lead at the half.

In the second half, Will Tittle scored on a 29-yard run to cap off the Warrior scoring.

Offensively, Cochran went 4-for-6 passing for 97 yards and added 94 yards rushing on 15 carries. Tittle had 65 yards on seven carries, while Matthew Bahn added seven carries for 39 yards.

Happy Valley is set to host South Greene in a crucial Region 1-2A clash on Friday night.
