Kellie Cunningham and the Lady Cyclones were too much for Johnson County to overcome.
Elizabethton took a 1-0 victory over Johnson County behind a masterful performance from Cunningham in the pitching circle.
The Lady Cyclones scored the game’s lone run in the home side of the first as Abbi McKinney scored on a Maci West sacrifice fly. Elizabethton was unable to convert another runner, but that was all the Lady Cyclones needed.
Cunningham picked up the complete game win in the circle as she allowed just two hits and recorded five strikeouts.
At the plate, Autumn Hensley and McKinney were 2-for-3 to lead Elizabethton. Jessica Cunningham and Kira Dillard each added a hit to the Cyclone cause.
Marley Eggers had both hits for the Lady Longhorns.
