The Cyclones celebrated Homecoming 2015 in style.

Elizabethton rolled to a 53-3 victory over West Greene in first Homecoming game at Citizens Bank Stadium on Friday night. The win was the Cyclones’ sixth straight victory.

EHS got the party started early, and scored often in the game.

Hunter Tyree found Drew Bowers for a 27-yard touchdown to open the scoring and cap off the game’s opening drive. After the Cyclone defense forced a punt, Tyree increased the lead when he hit Jalen Smith for a 13-yard touchdown. Freshman Corey Russell added the two-point conversion to give EHS a 14-0 lead midway through the frame, and the Cyclones held a 21-0 lead at the end of the first quarter.

Elizabethton struck quickly to open the second quarter as Jeremiah Turner raced 45 yards for a touchdown, and Tyree added another touchdown pass to extend the EHS lead to 34-0 midway through the second quarter. A Tyree one-yard touchdown run sent the Cyclones to the half with a 40-0 lead.

Russell and Logan Norman added rushing touchdowns in the second half to cap the scoring.

Turner led the way with 117 yards on 10 carries, while Norman added 105 yards with 14 carries. Russell had seven carries for 70 yards.

Tyree finished the game 12-of-16 passing for 163 yards and three scores plus a rushing touchdown. Jalen Smith had six catches for two touchdowns and 83 yards, while Bowers added 38 yards on three catches.

The win improved Elizabethton to 7-1 overall and 5-0 in region play.

The Cyclones travel to Chuckey-Doak next Friday.
