The Elizabethton football team climbed a spot in the latest Tennessee AP Prep Football poll.
Elizabethton improved to No. 2 in the Class 4A poll after being ranked No. 3 last week. EHS received two first-place votes.
The Cyclones tallied 139 points. Greeneville maintained the top spot with 162 first-place votes including 13 first-place votes.
EHS is 5-0 on the season after a decisive 45-0 victory over Cherokee last week.
In Class 2A, Happy Valley received 12 points – just seven points behind No. 10 Houston County. The Warriors ran past Unaka on Friday.
Elizabethton is set to travel to William Blount on Friday, while the Warriors are off this week.
