Elizabethton picked up a solid road win on Friday night.

The Cyclones cruised to a 41-13 win over Union County. The win improves the Cyclones to 6-1 on the year and 3-0 in region action.

Elizabethton wasted no time getting on the scoreboard.

Carter Everett hit Ryan Wetzel for a 20-yard touchdown pass to open the scoring, and Kade Hensley added the extra point. After the EHS defense forced a punt, Austin Outland pushed the lead to 14-0 with a 10-yard touchdown run. Elizabethton took that advantage into the second quarter.

The Cyclones offense stayed hot, despite having a number of starters resting, as Everett hit Keelan Hall for an 18-yard touchdown. Outland scored his second touchdown of the night – this one from 26 yards out – as EHS took a 28-0 lead into the half.

Jaxton Holly hit Kaleb Robinson for an 18-yard touchdown, and Cameron Trimm also added a five-yard touchdown in the second half for Elizabethton.

Everett finished 20-of-26 passing for 291 yards. Evan Perkins had 102 receiving yards, while Hall added 74 receiving yards.

Outland finished with 65 yards on six carries.

The Cyclones now turn their attention to top-ranked team Greeneville who will pay a visit to Citizens Bank Stadium next Friday.
