Elizabethton came up short on Tuesday night.
The Cyclones were unable to recover from a slow start as Sullivan East took a 55-39 victory in the District 1-AA Championship inside the Patriot Palace.
Elizabethton will host South Greene on Saturday in the opening game of the Region 1-AA tournament.
Sullivan East came out of the gate hot on Tuesday night.
The Patriots jumped out to a 6-1 lead and moved the advantage to 19-4 at the end of the first quarter. The Cyclones settled down a bit but were unable to trim the lead before the half.
Elizabethton continued to fight in the second half making a third-quarter run, but they were unable to pull even with the Patriots.
Jake Roberts tallied 12 points to lead the Cyclones, while Brayden Phillips tossed in nine points. Nate Wilson had seven points.
