Elizabethton was unable to rally past Sullivan East on Tuesday night.
The Cyclones dropped a 71-60 decision to the Patriots in Three Rivers Conference play.
The Patriots raced out to a 15-3 lead in the opening quarter, but Elizabethton chopped the deficit to 19-11 going to the second. EHS was unable to cut into the lead any farther as SE held a 42-33 advantage at the half.
In the second half, Elizabethton continued to fight, but was unable to trim the deficit to less than nine points.
Eric Wilson had 21 points to lead all scorers, while Christian Price had 12 points. Adam Cornett added 10 points. Freshman Parker Hughes tossed in eight points.
