On Saturday night, Elizabethton took care of business in the District 1-AA semifinals.

The Cyclones outlasted Unicoi County 55-38 to advance to the District 1-AA Championship game.

Elizabethton is set to take on Sullivan South, who upset top-seed Johnson County, in the title game on Tuesday, and also secured a home game for the first round of the Region 1-A tournament with the win.

The Cyclones jumped out early to take an 18-10 lead at the end of the first quarter.
EHS continued to maintain the lead for the second quarter with a 34-28 advantage at the break.

Points were hard to come by in the third quarter as Elizabethton limited Unicoi County to just six points. That allowed the Cyclones to take an 11-point lead into the final quarter.

Elizabethton left no doubt in the final eight minutes by doubling up the Blue Devils for the win.

Evan Perkins scored 15 points to lead Elizabethton, while Bryson Rollins had 10 points. Eric Wilson and Parker Hughes had nine and eight points, respectively.

Gavin Casey had 11 points to lead Unicoi.
